KAJ , KMH and I were in charge of planning the New Beginnings program for our ward. We have been using this for one of our 10 hour projects for the Personal Progress program. (ok, so it has taken over 13 hours for each of us.) The theme for the youth this year is, "Be steadfast and immovable always abounding in good works." We used stars to represent this for New Beginnings. We had stars hanging from the ceiling with each of the Young Womens names on them, blue and silver glittery stars on the walls, and curling ribbon and small star confetti scattered across the table. We (all the young women) sang Jenny Phillips' (click on the title for a link to her website.) song "Like the Stars " and KAJ played the piano for us! We had the Relief Society President, the Personal Progress specialist, and the Bishop talk. My mom I made brownies and punched them into a star shape for dessert. It was AWESOME!!!!

sounds like awesome fun! those brownies were delicious LJR! the milk was a different story entirely...lol! that was so FUN!
